Jennifer Hofmann
Founder & Chief Strategist
Jennifer Hofmann is the Founder and Chief Strategist of InSync Training, the leader in virtual education since 2000. InSync's forward-thinking approach to virtual training established industry standards and paved the way for the rapid growth of online learning during the pandemic. Under Jennifer's leadership, the company has been named to the Inc. 5000 list five times, a testament to InSync's commitment to quality and innovative solutions.
Early influences from educational TV stalwarts like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and Schoolhouse Rock kindled Jennifer's passion for learning. While studying business and finance, she transformed a college non-profit, catapulting its revenues from $350,000 to $1.3 million within a year.
Working in corporate training at an insurance firm was pivotal in her career, leading her to the frontier of synchronous learning during the dot-com era. In 2000, Jennifer founded InSync Training. With her guidance, InSync became a trailblazer in virtual education, establishing protocols and benchmarks for the entire industry.
Twenty-three years later, InSync is a global powerhouse with over 100 global team members serving clients, including Fortune 100 companies, major healthcare brands, and multinational IT service providers. InSync's experts, collectively fluent in over 20 languages, ensure that the company's commitment to excellence is felt in every time zone and on every platform. In addition to offering customized solutions for its clientele, they have also played a pivotal role in upskilling the global workforce. Over 25,000 individuals have been accredited through InSync's virtual training certificate programs.
As the pioneer of the field, Jennifer continues to push the advancement of virtual learning. Under her direction, InSync developed the InQuire Engagement Framework™, leveraging breakthrough research on measuring learner engagement to ensure optimal learning experiences that lead to stronger knowledge retention and business outcomes. Jennifer has also served as a member and secretary of the board of directors of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training.
As an author, Jennifer has published and contributed to several noteworthy books on virtual learning. In 2002, Jennifer published "The Synchronous Trainer's Survival Guide," a groundbreaking book laying out the foundational standards of virtual training. She has also authored "Live and Online!: Tips, Techniques, and Ready to Use Activities for the Virtual Classroom" and "Blended Learning," which presents an instructional design model tailored to modern learners and today's workplace.
Throughout InSync's growth, Jennifer has also been an unwavering champion for women in the workplace. Embracing a fully remote work model from the company's early days, Jennifer intentionally created an environment conducive to work-life balance. For the first nine years, InSync's team was solely comprised of women, many of them working moms. To accommodate them, Jennifer ensured that InSync offered flexible work arrangements to all team members, underlining her commitment to inclusivity and understanding in the workplace.
Passionate about nurturing the next generation of business leaders, Jennifer will soon be a certified coach with SCORE. She aims to use her extensive experience to coach and mentor young female entrepreneurs, guiding them in the development and execution of their business strategies. Meanwhile, she continues to focus on InSync’s global growth and organizational partnerships as companies worldwide fully embrace virtual and hybrid learning.
